- Sushi
- Cheap Japanese
- Chinese food
The massively popular Kiwa Group has Japanese, Chinese, Asian & Ethnic, American and Italian restaurants all over Japan, but mostly in Tokyo. Among them, two Chinese restaurant chains are recommended:
- Ramen
- 一蘭 Ichiran: Customizable ramen; choose the level of spiciness, density and condiments of your ramen exactly to your taste. 15 branches nationwide.
- 武蔵 "Musashi" : reputed "red, black or white" fish soup ramen with thick noodles. Branches in Shinjuku 7-2-6, Aoyama 2-3-8, Minami Ikebukuro 3-14-12 and Ueno 6-7-3.
- Italian food
- スパゲッティ屋 "Spaghetti-ya": offers a wide selection of pasta at very competitive price
- Capricciosa: one of the best Italian restaurant chain in Japan. Hundreds of locations in Japan, as well as some branches in Guam, Saipan and Honolulu.
- Mexican food
Mexican restaurants are few and far between in Japan, even in Tokyo. This is the only chain I know and it's well worth trying it.
