What's the best Studio Ghibli anime ?

Marc... I like ocean waves as well... I lost my copy a long time ago, but it was one of my favorite SG movies. I've been looking for another copy, but I can't find one.

Laputa was another one of my favorites, for exactly the same reason as Jigen said.

Its nice to see that people do have discerning tastes.

Spirited Away is my favorite. 1. Because it was the first Studio Ghibli film I saw and 2. Because it's just brilliant.

My favourite is Mononoke Hime.
It's the one that made the Ghibli Studio more popular here in Germany, though certain movies have been around for years on TV.

I watched a Ghibli short cartoon when visiting the Ghibli Museum, It was called Hoshi o Katta Hi, or The Day I Harvested a Star. It was in Japanese with no English subtitles so I didn't have much idea as to what was going on. It was still fascinating to watch. Not sure if you can watch the movie anywhere else apart from at the museum.
