I like Japan since it is the Land of the Rising Sun and a country with mach traditional old culture.
nowadays, they are more Americanised, but I like the surviving traditional culture and the respect for elders

Anime/Manga, Food, Language, and Culture in General.
I like the culture but traditional stuff sometimes get pretty weird. Kabuki and old songs are so disonnant it sounds almost barbarous. Its odd how an old and refined culture like Japan could produce such terrible music. I feel it belongs to another culture than the beautiful kimonos and curved roofs. Imagine if Queen Victoria was listenning to a band of tribal drum players dancing around a fire like savages in the confort of her palace. It's like trying to feed carrots to lions. You know instinctively that something is wrong. Well that was my impression when I first heard Kabuki.
Ohayo!
Well, I really want to go to Japan because of anime/manga, and videogames.
My real Otaku spirit popped out, when i was watching Genshiken for the first time.
I was like i stepped in a whole new world!
Now i've already planned my trip to Japan [this summer], and i'm also learning as much as i can about the japanese culture and language.
I just can't wait! When i'm in Tokyo, i probably take the first train to Akihabara [this is the area where you can buy all kinds of animes, doujinshi's, manga's, posters and so on]. Akihabara is also known as *the* Otaku area, so i think it's a great experience to go there. It's fantastic!
I love Japan!
