Some call it living in a fishbowl.
This reminds me of junior high Spanish classes. You go in for an hour's worth of instruction and as soon as you leave the classroom, the Spanish stays in the room and becomes "fugitive information"...
I haven't been to either, but if I were to do so, it would be the Disney Sea park. Why should I travel 6,000 miles to Japan to go to Disneyland Tokyo when I can just drive 60 miles to Anaheim to go...
My first soaking Japanese bath was last year and I enjoyed it. The hot water only bothered my toes. At home, it is 100% showers.
I think I would enjoy an onsen if I could just soak there and...
Don't know, never had one before (from a professional).
"Ask him the time and he'll give you the history of watchmaking." ;-)
Do you have video of this? It would be most interesting to see a Belgian in Japan performing Vulcan mind-meldings on the locals. ;-)
Live long and prosper!
Elvis Presley?
He was also in The Magnificent Severn, a western version of Seven Samurai.
Thank goodness for both.
Who's to say whose system is better? Maybe the rest of the world is out of touch? Some businesses use them (auto repairers, etc.) in the U.S.
It gives a "bad image to Americans around the...

At least now I have two sushi restaurants in Tokyo that I like....
Imagine this domestic scene in the Maciamo household. Only there, he'd probably be giving her infractions. ;-)
(Just kidding, Mac!)
That may be a good (and timely) idea since it seems that most sushi establishments in Los Angeles seem to be Korean-run.
Yes, it is interesting.
I've had numerous Japanese go out of their way to sit near me (mainly older men and younger women) to strike up conversations. I've never noticed "avoidance."
The fact is, if you allow minor...
I think a lot of waiters/waitresses are so used to gaijins like me (who know diddly-squat in Japanese) that they automatically turn the the Japanese person who's with you and then are shocked when...
That's something left over from the old days about "not showing bone" when laughing.
Or roughly $270 U.S.
For that amount, the least they can do is have a full hosted bar.
Wow! Does this mean that you can move back to Japan?
Me neither...yet! But it may be something to consider doing after retirement. It may be a good gig to do as a retiree. Heck, I wouldn't mind moving to Japan after retirement and get a job teaching...
Does Nova or any of the other English-teaching companies have age requirements? What's the maximum age?
Would Thomas bring in someone he didn't know?
