Although chicken is the meat I eat most often these days, I love venison, turkey and especially grouse; I've had grouse meat once when my husband caught it.

Oh boy! He caught it in the field where apple trees were all over, which was whtat the grouse had been eating, so the meat was naturally flavored with a slight hint of apples.

I've also had alligator meat, but I don't think I'll try it again.
