    Chinese predictions

this is a Chinese prediction, written at about 1300 years ago by two people,
it has 60 chapters, each chapter there is one picture and a couple of sentences.

the first 41 chapters seems pretty accurate

    all predictions are about China

    here is chapter 39

    ĤTEH@бG SUIW [

    @@@L@s
    @@@ɡ@H

    |G
    @@@QG뤤𤣩M@ns_sù
    @ťos@jIIwL

    chinese explanation:
    tġGuHä@~iZäAܨ~lo]CvqHO饻IءCLAsAO@Ӯqr Cr
    HayashiG饻IءA1945~v

the sentences can be roughly translated to:
"bird without legs , mountain having a moon,
    sunrises , people cries"

the 1st sentence hints a chinese word,
in chinese, the word 'bird' there are 4 legs,if you take away the 4 legs,
and add the word 'mountain' in that place,it becomes the word 'Island'

    2nd sentence,'sunrise'
it maybe referring to the sun on the Japanese flag

the 3rd sentence i could not understand,

    here is the 4th sentence

"one morning you could hear the noise of rooster,
the sea is deep and the sun is gone already'

    Japan was defeated in 1945,
that year is the year of rooster on the Chinese Lunar Calendar

I hope this will not offend anyone here,
I just thought this is something interesting so I post it here

this one is prediction about the future

    chapter 45

a picture of two men, with the chinese word 'heart' on their chests,
holding arrows and pointing towards the sun

    the sentences:
'visitors from the West came, they stopped in the East,
wood fire gold water, wash away the big shame'
'the world is at war, golden bird hiding in the white ocean,
from now on they will never dare to say they are strong,
the moral of the military is gone, and their luck is over.'

    the word 'golden bird'
in ancient Chinese language, the word 'golden bird' means the Sun
    so the second sentence means
'the world is at war, the sun hiding in the white ocean'

most people believe that this prediction is about China having a war against Japan, maybe a world war??
visitors from the West could probably be the Americans or Russians,
why did they stop in the East? don't know.

'golden bird hiding in the white ocean'
in ancient Chinese language, the word 'golden bird' means the sun,
the sun hiding in the white ocean,
think about the Japanese flag,if the sun is gone then there is only white.

'the moral of the military is gone, and their luck is over'
it seems to hint Japan will be defeated and never be strong again.

the prediction of chapter 41 already 'happened'
so if this is true, this is going to happen within a few decades

The thing about these kind of predictions are that they are pretty much open to interpretation.
    Much like Nostradamus' theories.

There was some recent news about Bush's war against terrorism being predicted by the Bible....

I remember hearing something about these things being worked out by mathematical probability or something, anyway i dont really believe in predictions.

Interesting read tho, thanks for the info.

    @ Gaki

Lin Chunfeng and Yuan Tiangang were famous astronomists of the Tang Dynasty, they worked in the kingdom,
they got all these predictions by reading the sky, such as the stars.

Nostradamus got his predictions by dreaming

to most people who have some understanding of the Chinese history,
it seems the predictions are pretty accurate.
I do not understand Chinese history much, but when I read the prediction of the Japanese invasion,it seems accurate.

anyways,I just thought the prediction stuffs are interesting

Actually, when you read Nostradamus you can find very accurate predictions in the same way you showed above. Problem is, you won't find a lot of predictions coming true, when you interpret the text before(!) they are supposed to happen.

Seeing the future in the stars or in dreams is pretty much the same.
