    Lightbulb Japanese-Indian surnames

I have noticed that the Japanese and the Indians shared quite a few identical surnames. Here is a short list of what I have found :

    - Chiba
    - Nara
    - Nita
    - Sen
    - Yamura

    Just coincidences, but still interesting...

Hmm... had no idea. I just assumed those names were exclusively Japanese. I wonder how many other names might be cross-cultural. A little off-topic but recently i've had a batch of new students with interesting names i've not heard before like "Kirika", "Sea" (never seen that spelling, pronounced like Seiya), "Ramu" (like ramune). All were girl's names coincidentally.
