China now world's top exporter and biggest car market

It's official. China has become the largest exporting economy in the world in USD in 2009, surpassing Germany. It was already first in quantity of course, but in in value.

The Chinese car market has climbed on top position, overtaking the US market. There are now more cars sold in China than in any other country on earth.

The next major record will probably be to overtake Japan as the world's 2nd economy (or 3rd in we count the EU as a single market, which it is). China is already worth more than Japan at PPP, but that doesn't really count.
