Jiuzhaigou
Jiuzhaiguo, literally "the Valley of Nine Villages", is praised as the "heaven on earth" and "the fairyland of the planet" by travelers. There are nine (jiu) Tibetan villages (Zhai) in the valley (gou), hence the name. In China, it is commonly called Jiuzhaigou Valley. This national nature reserve is located in the north of Sichuan and known for its many multi-level waterfalls, colorful lakes, springs, limpid rivulets, rivers, plants, and rare animals. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.

Emei Mountain
The Mecca of the trekking enthusiasts. The mountain is only 7 km from Emeishan City and 37km from Leshan City, and is one of the four famous Buddhism Mountains in China. The mountain is famed for the ancient grand temples, monkey reserves, and the natural wonders: sunrise, sea of clouds, Buddhist lights and sacred lamp...In 1996, it was designated the World Cultural and Natural Heritage by the UNESCO.


Chengdu Giant Panda Base
The Chengdu Giant Panda Base is an example of a scientific institute engaged in ex situ research towards in situ conservation for giant pandas. The giant panda population, serve as a hedge against extinction of the species, are nature's gift to Chengdu, Sichuan, even China.
