Famous Chinese works of poetry already have translations in Japanese:

http://www5a.biglobe.ne.jp/~shici/y34.htm

In Japan, the poem as written in Chinese (at top of the website page) is written as is and "read orally" in Japanese as shown below it. This requires practice and is part of "kanbun" iŠ¿•¶j practice (taught in high school and for Japanese literature majors on the university level).

HTH! :-)

I live upriver and you live downriver.
I miss you day after day but can't see you, though we eat the same river water.
when will the water end? and when will the miss be over?
I wish you miss me just like I miss you, we do have each other in mind.
