The cherries are starting to blossom in the South of Japan and in Tokyo. For those of you living in Japan, what are your plans for this year's cherry blossoms viewing ? I have selected a few gardens in Tokyo (http://www.wa-pedia.com/practical/tokyo_parks_gardens.shtml), which should be the most beautiful, while being less crowded than the big parks, and free of drunkards or blue plastic tarpaulins, as people are not allowed to picnic in (fee-paying) gardens.

I have already watched them in my backyard...I doubt that I will go anywhere else, unless I trek up to Nago.

My neighborhood--beautiful and free of drunks.

Second choice is Jindai Botanical Gardens:

Concert, trees lit up at night, and alcohol-free picnicing allowed (for a fee) :relief:
