Bushido •Žm“¹

"Code of the Warrior", influenced by Confucianism, Zen Buddhism and Shinto. From Confucianism it inherited filial fidelity and loylty to one's lord. From Zen Buddhism it learned not to fear death and control one's body and mind. From Shinto, it learned to worship the emperor.

The bushido wasn't put into paper before Nitobe Inazo (1862 - 1933) summarized it in his book "Bushido - the Soul of Japan " in 1900.
