What is your favorite song by Ayumi Hamasaki ?

Personally, only "Voyage" is moving enough to bring tears to my eyes - especially watching the video clip, which I think is also her best and most original. My 3 best after that are "Free & Easy", "Depend on You" and "Boys & Girls". "Evolution" and "I am" come next.

I totally agree about Voyage. It's a very moving song. I dunno, she's had so many singles that I've liked, that I don't know which one is my favorite.

Voted for Evolution... guitars! Good! I also like Unite, which is from that same album. Depend on you was the first i heard from Ayumi, so that also holds a special place in my heart.

I voted for Hanabi. If you listen to the lyrics, it's such a sad and moving song. Also, I downloaded a live clip of her singing that song, and she gets so emotional while singing it; I know that song came from the heart. It's just beautiful to me.. it made me cry.

i like a lot of ayu songs... it was hard for me just to pick one... but i chose evolution cause i like how she sings and the guitar stuff... and it was fast and energetic too... but i like a lot of her songs so i don't really have a favorite one...

This is quite difficult to answer,but maybe the first that made me dance ,"Boys and girls",the live was great...
But of course,i love all ayu' s songs...i' m a fan of HANABI 2 OURSELVES VOYAGE FREE & EASY FLY HIGH UNITE EVOLUTION M (even if it is a sad song) ...and more but i know you know all her songs ,well just my three favorites: boys and girls,M,surreal...

i think that 'cause it's cover, there's same lyrics too. i have itsuka no merry christmas by ayumi and there is those lyrics... don't know about the duo with gackt then. :P

a question to all ayu fans.
what is so good abt her music that she is such a rage?

i hear a good breadth of j-music, oldies and new ones, and some lyrics of hers are good, but basically, doesn't she have a strong, extremely nasal whiny voice? how can melody emanate from the nose?
And at high pitch, doesn't her voice turn into an irritating shriek? (just listen to the last lines of 'a song for XX', u will know what I mean)
Where is the power and depth in her voice characterestic of good singers?

Pray tell me whats good about the way she sings?
Atleast, Hikki has a solid voice she can boast of!

Or is it _just_ Ayu's looks and stylish attire which is carrying her on?

Hardcore ayu fans may be peeved, but I fail to find anything in her voice
that justifies her position, Yes, the music may be good, but that alone cannot make a singer great!

I am sorry if someone is hurt, but just my own opinion.

ur pretty right..some of her songs were out of tunes. but i still like her as a singer and an actresses overall..somebody just hav to tell her to fix up the way she sings
