The famous French bakery chain Le Pain Quotidien, already present in many European countries, North America, Australia, Russia and in the Gulf Emirates.
The announcement comes as no big surprise considering that many French bakeries, like Paul, but also many small bakers with only one or two shops in Paris, have branches in Japan. Each famous department store in Tokyo has its luxury bakery. (see Best bakeries in Tokyo).
Le Pain Quotidien says it plans to open 20 branches at first. I did not have information about where, but some places, like Marunouchi, Ginza or Shinjuku are inevitable.
